We've basically mastered the tricaster studio this week. Its way easier than adobe and all of the other stuff and it looks way legit. To legit. To Legit to Quit. Theres a problem with the backgrounds that we havent figured out yet, but they still look alright. Everything else seems to be working alright though. Its going well, and everyone loves it.

This week we only got to do the news twice because of snow delays and what not. It was a pretty typical week, the news went well. We used steelers backgrounds instead of those lame ones that are just always there because there's like 3 backgrounds to pick in powerpoint. Thats about it, nothing new happened really.

The news went pretty well this week, there weren't many announcements so we were able to have more time to edit and do other things to it before taping it. I filmed the spanish commercial on monday and have it mostly done today. We played it today but its 2 minutes long so I have to cut some things out of it to make it shorter. We got a camera from wpxi and they want us to film us filming the news and send it to them, and we're also taking a field trip down to their office later this year which will be very interesting because I'm interested in doing that later in life.

Its our first week back from christmas break. It's pretty lame. Chris and I are gonna make a commercial that is based off of the Life Alert commercials. Its also my birthday today so now I'm 18 and can go to jail and stuff. Right now the news that we all filmed has frozen. Like it always does anytime we have a headstart. But its alright because I'm gonna go eat some chinese food.

Week 12/15

This week we started to get good with adobe and started to get things done quicker. So we usually got the news on before Channel One. We added a segment where we read the lunch menu instead of just having a title of it. We're also working on a new intro tape. We're gonna do it like it was on anchorman. If we can figure it out right it'll look pretty good. The playdoh intro tape is getting old. Today we had problems with the sound and couldn't record to tape, but other than that it has been pretty good.

We got better with the green screen this week. We also went completely to adobe with the news now. It makes things go a lot smoother. Its less hectic too. You don't really have to time things as much and we can just edit it all together at the end and record it to tape at the end of the period. It works a lot better. We also started to have powerpoints that relate to the slide that the anchor is reading, so its starting to look a little more professional. I think it'll all come together when we update the intro tape and add some commercials.

green screen week

We got our green screen on monday. I was hunting that day so I wasn't here for the first time we had it but I've been here ever since. We're gonna do the news in a different way now that the green screen is here because transitions are different now that we have to use the chroma key. We haven't got the whole green screen down yet, we're trying to do it all on the computer but the computer we have to use is the kind that always freezes once you have something accomplished. We're all gonna make backgrounds for the green screen though and it'll eventually start to look better and go smoother.
